University of Florida Statement Regarding Continued Investigation on Vandalized Institute of Black Culture Building Sign

The University of Florida Police Department continues to investigate the vandalization of the sign in front of the Institute of Black Culture.

As part of its investigation of the incident, which occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 12, UFPD has analyzed and enhanced video surveillance images and is asking for the community’s help in identifying the suspect or subjects within the video. The department also has assigned extra patrols around the Institute of Black Culture for added security.

UFPD will seek prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
